Gregg Patterson has served as CEO for IMS for 18 years. His company provides back office services to organizations with a local, regional, national and international presence. These services include accounting, bookkeeping, bill payment, payroll management, project management, HR, and more. Each client has the option to scale these services to match the size of their organization. Clients also have access to staff accountants, controllers or chief financial officers on an “as needed basis”.
Gregg’s extensive background includes serving in roles such as CEO, CFO and VP of Operations. In these roles he has managed and led all aspects of company operations, finances, and distribution.
Start Up, Finance & Operations Expertise – Recruited to source and direct implementation of call centers, financial institutions, investment brokers, back office administrators, and professional partnerships. This facilitated the rapid set up of finance and operations components for a domestic based insurance company. Company generated $190M in revenues insuring $17.5B in property value for 100,000+ policyholders in the first 12 months of operations. Served as Chief Financial Officer and VP of Operations.
Business Plan Development & Turnaround Experience – Key player in financial services executive management that redefined core services and formed joint ventures with Fortune 100 companies resulting in cost reductions, increased profits, and expanded market share. Developed and led successful joint venture presentations at CEO level for Fortune 100 companies. Company moved from operating losses to 7-figure pretax profits within 2 years.
An alumni of The Florida State University, Gregg graduated with an accounting degree from the College of Business. Gregg moved to Tallahassee to attend FSU with no intentions of staying. He has been married to his wife Morgan Patterson for over 27 years. Now after four children and five grandchildren, it appears he is here to stay.
In 2014, at the insistence of his wife, they walked the 500 mile Camino starting in St Jean de Port, France to Santiago, Spain. In 2015, the FSU Film School produced a documentary about this trip and their spiritual transformation. In 2016 they hiked the 100 mile West Highlands Way in Scotland starting in north Glasgow and ending in Fort William. It is their goal to walk on every continent. Gregg is also the Chair of Move Tallahassee, a walking group that meets twice a month to walk on our greenways and in our parks. He also serves on the board of Sunrise Rotary and is the past Chair of our local chapter of the American Red Cross.
